What is Zumba?
- Zumba is a Latin-danced inspired aerobics class fueled by pulsating latin and other international music that combines the elements of Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Hip-hop, Reggaeton, Bellydance, Flamenco, Samba, and Latin pop together in a fun, energizing workout.
Do I Need to Know How to Dance to try Zumba?
- If you can move, you can Zumba. Come give it a try!Your first Zumba class may seem hard at first, but Zumba incorporates lots of repetition of steps, patterns, rhythms and songs. Keep coming to class and you will soon be in step with everyone else. Like any exercise class you may modify the intensity of your workout. If you are new to cardio exercise you can simplify the moves. For example, do the steps without the arm movements, however, it is better to dance it out with all your energy and enthusiasm!
